About Us

In the Beginning

From a small synagogue in Brooklyn in the winter of 1951, the Rebbe transformed a small Chassidic dynasty of 200 years into the largest Jewish outreach organization in the world.  Today, Chabad-Lubavitch has 3,500 centers across the globe.

Chabad is known for it's non-judgmental, all are welcome style, and making ancient, traditional & authentic Judaism accessible and meaningful, in a modern and fast-paced world.

Chabad Wimbledon

For over thirty years, Chabad of Wimbledon has been a hub of dynamic Jewish connection, growth and impact. A space of community—of family—inspiring the lives of thousands through thrilling holiday programs, engaging learning opportunities, and spirited community events bringing together both the young—and the young at heart.

We are a passionate team dedicated to nurturing the whole person, the whole family and the whole community, providing a foundation to grow as more connected and impactful human beings.

Together with our community, we unite Jews across South London, creating welcoming place for individuals and families of all backgrounds and affiliations to join together. With programming and events for children, teenagers, and adults, all ages have opportunities to learn and celebrate their own personal link to their Jewish heritage.
